Single 12-inch Rectangular Vented / Bass-Reflex Subwoofer Box

This Vented / Bass-Reflex enclosure is designed for a single 12-inch rectangular subwoofer and features a 40 L chamber tuned to 35 Hz. Built from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material in a simple rectangle shape, it measures 615 × 391 × 352 mm (24.2 × 15.41 × 13.87 in). The cabinet utilizes a double-thickness front baffle and one internal brace to increase rigidity and reduce panel vibration, making it suitable for high-output systems. For everyday car audio, it balances trunk space and installation constraints with a balanced sound, while also serving as a general-purpose home subwoofer box that balances bass extension, size, output, and low distortion. The design includes one L-shaped slot port with an area suitable for high-output, large-excursion drivers and SPL-oriented use with high airflow demand.
