40 L / 30 Hz Bass-Reflex Residential Audio Box for a Single 10-inch Round Subwoofer - 468 × 448 × 387 mm

This Bass-Reflex residential audio enclosure is designed for a single 10-inch round subwoofer, serving as a general-purpose home subwoofer solution for music and stereo systems that balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion. The simple rectangle cabinet is built from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material with external dimensions of 468 × 448 × 387 mm (18.41 × 17.65 × 15.27 in). This down-firing enclosure features drivers mounted in the bottom panel so the floor or support surface becomes part of the acoustic loading and shapes the bass dispersion. To increase cabinet rigidity and reduce flex in high-output systems, the design includes a double-thickness front baffle. The 40 L chamber is tuned to 30 Hz using one L-shaped slot port with a port area suitable for high-output, large-excursion drivers and SPL-oriented use with high airflow demand.
