Single 8-inch Vented / Bass-Reflex Subwoofer Box - 15 L / 38 Hz

This vented (bass-reflex) enclosure is designed for a single 8-inch rectangular subwoofer, featuring a 15 L chamber tuned to 38 Hz. The simple rectangle cabinet is constructed from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material with external dimensions of 486 × 264 × 227 mm (19.1 × 10.4 × 8.94 in). It is engineered for everyday car-audio use, prioritizing limited trunk space and balanced sound, while also serving as a general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure that balances bass extension, size, output, and low distortion. The design utilizes one L-shaped slot port with a port area suitable for high-output drivers with increased cone excursion and airflow demand.
