Description
This vented Bass-Reflex enclosure is designed for a single 8-inch round subwoofer, specifically for home audio music and stereo systems to balance bass extension, output, cabinet size, and low distortion. The down-firing enclosure features drivers mounted in the bottom panel, allowing the floor or support surface to become part of the acoustic loading and shape the bass dispersion. Constructed from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material in a simple rectangle shape, the external cabinet dimensions are 378 × 365 × 316 mm (14.88 × 14.39 × 12.45 in). The design features a 25 L chamber tuned to 34 Hz and utilizes one L-shaped slot port. This port area is suitable for high-output drivers with increased cone excursion and airflow demand.
