Description

This down-firing enclosure with drivers mounted in the bottom panel is designed for a single 10-inch round subwoofer, allowing the floor or support surface to become part of the acoustic loading and shape the bass dispersion. This general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion using a vented (bass-reflex) design. The cabinet has a simple rectangle shape built from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material with external dimensions of 401 × 390 × 412 mm (15.76 × 15.39 × 16.24 in) (width × height × depth). It features a 40 L chamber tuned to 30 Hz and uses one round port with a port area suitable for high-output drivers with increased cone excursion and airflow demand.
