Description

This vented (bass-reflex) enclosure is designed for a single 12-inch round subwoofer, featuring a 40 L chamber tuned to 35 Hz with one L-shaped slot port. Built as a simple rectangle from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material, the external cabinet dimensions are 578 × 355 × 319 mm (22.75 × 13.99 × 12.59 in). One internal brace reinforces the cabinet and reduces panel vibration, making it suitable for high-output subwoofer systems. The port area is specifically optimized for high-output drivers with increased cone excursion and airflow demand. This design serves as a general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems, balancing bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion, while also being ideal for everyday car-audio use by considering limited trunk space, installation constraints, and balanced sound.
