Description

This general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion. Designed for a single 8-inch round subwoofer, the design uses a sealed (closed-box) enclosure with a 15 L chamber tuned to 38 Hz. This down-firing enclosure features drivers mounted in the bottom panel, where the floor or support surface becomes part of the acoustic loading and shapes the bass dispersion. The cabinet has a simple rectangle shape and is built from 18 mm (3/4 inch) material with external dimensions of 290 × 288 × 306 mm (11.67 × 11.37 × 12.09 in) (width × height × depth).
