Description

This residential audio enclosure is designed for a single 10-inch round subwoofer, balancing bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion for music and stereo systems. This vented (Bass-Reflex) design features a down-firing enclosure with drivers mounted in the bottom panel, allowing the floor or support surface to become part of the acoustic loading and shape the bass dispersion. Built as a simple rectangle from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material, the external cabinet dimensions are 418 × 411 × 355 mm (16.44 × 16.2 × 14.01 in). The 40 L chamber is tuned to 30 Hz using one L-shaped slot port, which provides a port area suitable for drivers with moderate cone excursion and airflow demand.
