Description

This general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems expertly balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion. Designed for a single 10-inch round subwoofer, the vented (bass-reflex) box features a 40 L chamber tuned to 30 Hz. The down-firing enclosure houses drivers mounted in the bottom panel, allowing the floor or support surface to become part of the acoustic loading and shape the bass dispersion. Built from 18 mm (3/4 inch) material in a simple rectangle shape, the external cabinet dimensions are 467 × 449 × 388 mm (18.69 × 17.73 × 15.33 in). It utilizes one L-shaped slot port with a port area suitable for high-output, large-excursion drivers and SPL-oriented use with high airflow demand.
