Description

This vented (bass-reflex) enclosure is designed for a single 10-inch round subwoofer, offering a 40 L chamber tuned to 30 Hz. It is a general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems that balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion. The down-firing enclosure features drivers mounted in the bottom panel, where the floor or support surface becomes part of the acoustic loading and shapes the bass dispersion. Built from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material in a simple rectangle shape, the cabinet measures 400 × 383 × 405 mm (15.74 × 15.12 × 15.96 in) (width × height × depth). The double-thickness front baffle increases cabinet rigidity and reduces front-panel flex, making the box suitable for high-output subwoofer systems. It utilizes one round port with a port area suitable for drivers with moderate cone excursion and airflow demand.
