Description

Designed for a single 8-inch round subwoofer, this general-purpose home subwoofer enclosure for music and stereo systems balances bass extension, cabinet size, output, and low distortion. This vented (bass-reflex) design features a down-firing enclosure with drivers mounted in the bottom panel, allowing the floor or support surface to become part of the acoustic loading and shape the bass dispersion. The simple rectangle shape cabinet is built from 16 mm (5/8 inch) material with external dimensions of 372 × 320 × 340 mm (14.63 × 12.6 × 13.39 in). It includes a 24 L chamber tuned to 34 Hz and uses one round port with a port area suitable for high-output drivers with increased cone excursion and airflow demand.
