Advantages

(very) loud with ease (sens approaches 100dB/W), very dynamic, sparkling, goes down to 85 Hz easily with recommended enclosure. I combined the Beyma with Renkus Heinz SSH1800 and are fed with Sphynx project 12 monoblocks. Although the dispersion is (much) limited, position is crucial... if yuo dont invite to many friends... it beats every HiFi setup. Til now it lacks some accurate positioning but the dynamics and the abundance of headroom it just blows you away. You can feel loud en clearly all physical efforts. You can feel the shape of the nails of a (classical) guitar player. The performance is really in da house, right before your nose.

Disadvantages

Nasty peak between 3k and 5k, right after desirable crossover freq (1.5k - 2k). With passive filter (12db LR) very difficult to deal with. One could try 3rd order filter. There is a kind of work around: Apply or stick to 2nd order LR with crossover @±1.7kHz and with help of a good Crossover DSP (use Parametric filter @ ± 3.5k, with a minimum of -6dB and Q about .5. At the same one could raise the output between 100 en 150Hs, + 3dB, gain with low Q.
