Description

We have a Renault Thalia (Symbol) I car. If a sub is mounted in the rear dash, by my calculations the cabin gain is around 68Hz/12dB. To design this box with my usual needs I just only changed the speaker's Xmax to the value from sundown's website. So, I optimised the box to have as widerange + linear as possible transfer function + SPL curves using that cabin gain and speaker parameters. Active soundrange is between 24-85Hz, and the speaker nowhere near reaches it's Xmech on RMS power.

Description

This box I designed for 2 pcs of this speaker simply just by doubling the Vb of this box: https://speakerboxlite.com/project-info/15304/tab-info . Only 2 differences are in sounding: this box have 3 dB more SPL at every frequency because of the +1 speaker, and it have moderate level of vent air velocity - so maybe it is a good idea to round up a bit the edges of the port parts during the box-build to reduce the port noise mainly at 20ish Hzs. Also because of the shorter port this box is a bit more compact..

Description

I found on Sundown's website that this speaker have 10mm one-way Xmax at 70% of BL, and Xmech is cca. the double if it. The box have the least possible Vb and Fb to have 0 or higher dB values on trans. func. graph at 60Hz/12dB cabin gain on it's sound range which is by the imp. graph: 21-75 Hz. It have 10 or less m/s vent air velocity, ideal RMS power handling down to 24 Hz, but Xmech is not overpassed at any Hz. It have not ideal group delay, but it is OK, and the box is relatively compact...

Description

If all parameters I used are correct, this is a subwoofer with a really compact box for this woofer that covers all the sub-bass range in a small (tiny), or a rectanglish-like interior car, theoretically down to or below 10 Hz with no need for a subsonic filter...
