Question

Need a box for my 2 DD Redline 712's

Hi! i have never done a serious box before. Got 2 new DD redlines 712's and i want to do it the right way for once but i suck at it. Can someone help me put togheter a box?

I have done some measurements and i can do max W=940 and H=500 and my material is 20mm thick. i want to go with a Rectangle port. I like rap, trap and a bit of rock if that's helping.

Hi. I tryed to design a ported box for you, but the calculator recomends closed or 4th order bandpass. The bandpass is too big, or the speakers do not fit in the box, and the closed boxes are sounding deeper (louder below 18-20 Hz), but not are so loud like the ported boxes @ 20+ Hz (but the ported box will go down to 10 Hz but it will be not so loud) - see on picture: red is ported box, green is the deepest sounding closed box. I used Quasi-Third Butterworth alignment - this is the deepest sounding ported box which have acceptable measures if I look at your personal needs (btw, it is looking the best and everything fits in perfectly). So, the measures: material thickness: 20mm, outer dimensions: WxHxL = 940x500x445 mm, port type: L-port, port dimensions: WxHxL = 75x460x1302 mm. The box is on picture.
