Port Placement

Hi,

When trying to place a port on the front face of my speaker box, I am unable to select the bottom edge.

 I have tried changing the butt joint type for the edge (as mentioned in another question about port placement) but this makes no difference.

Hi. This is because your top & bottom edges have not ortho foundation edges and ports do not support variable geometry yet. It will be supported in the future versions.

Is there a way to change the geometry of the box? I seem to be able to place the port on the end face of the box just fine, and saw an option to change which face is the bottom, but don't know if this is worth playing around with as a workaround.

Yes you can change the geometry of the box and you've done it in the last project. Could you please share a picture or sketch of the box geometry you are trying to create? It would help me understand exactly what shape you need and whether it is already possible with the existing box options.
