Advantages

Quite shallow, inexpensive.

Disadvantages

Doesn't dig as deep as a 'true' subwoofer due to design limitations.

Total

Not bad for what I've got invested. I have it running on about 150 Watts in a sealed .65cf enclosure, installed behind the bench seat of a 1995 Ford F150XL regular cab pickup...not a lot of space to start with. I'm 6'6" and the truck is a stick-shift, which rules out any seat position other than all the way back. While it doesn't really play low enough for some rap or bass music, it will get down to the lower-mid 40's. Not at all bad for most rock, dance, and techno. It is very inefficient, but certainly provides an impact and presence to lower frequencies that most factory stereos lack.
