Description

My rules for this box: using the stock "Critically-damped" closed box's Vb for the closed chamber, and attach a vented chamber with labyrinth port using unique Vb and Fb to have these specs: at +3dB=60 Hz/12dB cabin gain 100+dB SPL from 10 to 60Hz, reach but no overpass the Xmax / ideal power handling on RMS power at any Hz, 10 or less m/s vent air velocity, less or equal group delay counted out as ((1/frequency)x1000)/2 [ms]. Watch out for the power: the woofer's basket is inside the closed chamber.

Description

The speaker in this box not overpasses its Xmax at higher frequencies than the Fb = 35 Hz. The port is perfect labyrinth - all the 11 port parts have the same dimensions + the port have a little bigger area than the minimum recomended - to reduce the port wind a little more.

Enclosure

Vented, Vb: 7.6l, Fb: 35Hz

Description

This is a 1:5 variant L-ported 4th order bandpass box optimized for the speaker's linear excursion (Xmax=9 mm) for 2 of these speakers. It sounds way more loud and / or deep than any other box for this speaker where Xmax is not exceeded. This is quiet a big box for these speakers, and there is a big square L-port (212x212 mm) what is more than enough for these small speakers - so no chance for port distortion.

Description

This is a 1:5 variant L-ported 4th order bandpass box optimized for the speaker's linear excursion (Xmax=9 mm). My personal needs: WxHxL = 550-560x250x250 mm (W is 552 mm, so it is OK). It sounds way more loud and / or deep than any other box for this speaker where Xmax is not exceeded and matches my personal needs. The loudest 4th order box where Xmax is not exceeded is somewhere between 1:4 and 1:6 ratio, it is not the clear 1:5 variant, but this 1:5 variant box matches the best with my personal needs.
