Advantages
The SB16PFC25-8 sounds great! Visitors are amazed at how real the music sounds; of course that is also partially attributed to the tweeter and crossover. Piano sounds like a real piano; at least according to my nephew who has reached piano grade 7 on a Yamaha grand. The Thiele-Small values of both drivers I purchased were very close to the values published by SB Acoustics. Was able to cross-over with ribbon tweeter at about 3700Hz. Provides decent base down to 50Hz; in 26L vented enclosure. Relatively cheap, so you can experiment with this driver.
Disadvantages
As I'm driving my new speakers with a 3.5W SET tube amp, it would be great if the sensitivity of the SB16PFC25-8 was around 90dB. Although I get decent volume in my 5m x 7m living room, when I turn the volume a bit too high, the tube amp occasionally soft clips.

The chap who helped design the crossover, who has about 50 years experience in designing and building speakers, pointed me towards SB Acoustics and nominated some more expensive 6" drivers, I opted for the SB16PFC25 as I wanted a cheap prototype design, but he was very surprised at how good the SB16PFC25-8 sound. I'll use the same driver on my next project, a 2.5-way MTM design with one SB16PFC25 driver sealed.
