Question

Cannot enter material thickness and port calculations

When I try to enter my material thickness of .75", the text box automically resets to .03" No matter how I type the number in, I cannot get .75" to stay.

Also, when calculation my port length, the calculator throws out crazy numbers. For example, if I want a port that is 2" wide x 12" tall x 30" long and ask the system to calulate one of the those lengths, the system makes the port 70" long or makes the port 80" tall. I varies, but you get the idea. It's not calculating correctly.

I have checked material thickness and it looks like a bug in the imperial system. Can you use the metric system instead?

About a port calculation can you provide more data? Like speaker you used, box parameters and other.

Ok, I got the material thickness corrected.

In regard to the port length, I guess I am just confused on the calculation. If I give the port a width of 2 inches, the system outputs a port length of over 40 inches and it causes the port to snake back and forth through the box. Can you make the system draw the port length and width wise so it flows along the left wall and back wall of the box? I figured as you made the port wider, the port length would decrease. Is that incorrect?

If you increase the port area, its length will increase.

The program does not support L ports maybe it appears in the future releases.

So at this point, can the program select the proper port size for me? Width, height, and length?

The program can suggest you a port area basing on your speaker VD parameter for preventing the port noises, but be ready it can be very large.

I have fixed the bug with reset the material thickness field
